Each years hundreds of endangered black cockatoos die as a result of car strikes while feeding on spilt grain on the highways and roads of regional western Australia.
Thousands of endangered Carnaby’s cockatoos have come to depend on the vast pine plantations on Perth’s northern fringe for food and places to rest but these exotic plantations are being clearfelled and will be completely gone within a few years.
